Summary
Plays a leadership role in the development and execution of the nutritional strategy of the Lee Memorial Health System. With a specific focus on research projects// process improvements// and outcome management. Acts as a member of the Clinical Nutrition Leadership team as well as Food & Nutrition team to coordinate services across the health system. Primary responsibilities include serving as a resource on all issues related to nutrition in assigned area. Provides oversight and support for nutrition program development; planning and monitoring financial aspects of nutrition programs and services; and maintaining professional competency and skills required from the clinical support team under supervision at an adequate level as required for professional practice. Coordinates related clinical nutrition practices and policies for the coordination of all assigned area services. Works as the department liaison for the Food and Nutrition department to other departments including nursing// pharmacy// rehab and other ancillary services to address nutrition related clinical needs of patients through the continuum of care provision while in the acute care adult area. Designs and monitors systems that ensure patient care practices are administered in a timely and effective manner.
