The City of Gresham is seeking a skilled and motivated Public Utility Worker Senior to lead our Parks Operations crew. This critical role oversees the maintenance and improvement of Gresham\'s 300+ acres of park land, 840 acres of natural areas, several miles of trails and multiple facilities. The Parks Operations staff consists of the Parks Superintendent, a Public Works Field Operations Supervisor, two Public Utility Worker Seniors, and eight Public Utility Worker 2\'s. What you will get to do: \' Lead direction of Parks crews \' Lead crews to maintain developed park systems \' Maintain undeveloped parks and open spaces \' Respond to contractor and public inquiries \' Safety: Prioritize safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations. \' After-Hours availability: Occasionally be available for after-hours work, including routine, emergency-related, snow removal operations, and removal of hazard trees in the rights-of-way. Work schedule: The current schedule for this position is 4-10 hours shift, either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Minimum Qualifications: \' High school diploma or GED \' Three to six years of progressively related experience in Parks Operations, landscaping, irrigation, and/or facilities maintenance, and increasingly responsible experience in providing direction to other team members and/or acting as lead. \' Good driving record (according to our driving matrix below) Any combination of qualifying education, training and experience equivalent to three to six years will be considered.
