This position will support a federal humanitarian and policy program through various program operations and management functions. Roles and Responsibilities The individual in this position leads communications requirements and supports the Executive team as part of the Program Management Office (PMO) supporting a Federal IT program. The individual must have effective communications and strong organizational skills and be able to analyze and identify program/project/task gaps and needs, resolve complex issues to ensure critical tasks and high priority deadlines are met. Detail oriented is a must have skill set. The ideal team member is a skilled communicator with expertise in crafting compelling narratives and leveraging digital platforms to drive impact. The team member must be able to handle various responsibilities, from taking meeting minutes to supporting high level senior briefings, or from backing-up the Executive Liaison to supporting projects and tasks. Must be intellectually curious, proactive, and a fast learner. Experience with a fast paced working environment is preferred. Specific responsibilities will include: Work on-site at a client site in Washington DC a minimum of three times a week. Draft and develop high quality and error-free artifacts and documentations, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical system maintenance notices, and quick technical reference guides. Oversee the creation of engaging content, including blogs, newsletters, presentations and reports. Ensure messaging consistency across all communication channels, including social media, websites, and internal platforms. Lead and coordinate communications with various stakeholders to gain their input and concurrence on deliverables and work products. Ability to gather, organize, and communicate disintegrated information/data into a cohesive, concise, and meaningful work product. Proactively listen to gather and recommend potential communications from other team members. Be resourceful to research information needed to deliver the required work products. Ability to develop communication, potentially in multiple formats, that are formatted and written appropriate to the target audience. Ability to develop and manage a communications schedule and accurately track status of deliverables. Utilize PowerPoint for presentations and Smartsheet to manage action items and schedule. Coordinate weekly meetings, draft agenda, managing attendees, facilitating meetings (with support from others), track action items, draft and finalize meeting minutes. Assist executives by preparing talking points for key meetings. Supports the administrative and day-to-day tasks of senior officials within an organization, including the coordination of their calendars, tracking agendas, scheduling meetings. Ability to handle day-to-day special projects as they arise. Maximize efficiencies by streamlining processes for increased organization and unified workstreams. Supporting the proactive review of the executive's schedule to ensure the time is aligned with their priorities. Sustain the highest level of professionalism with both internal and external contacts. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of communications experience supporting federal government customers. Must be a critical thinker with the ability to research for answers. Must have strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Writing samples may be requested. Experience working with SmartSheets is preferred. Must have a Bachelor of Arts or Science from an accredited university or college. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Desired Qualifications Prior consulting experience. Experience serving in a quality assurance role. Southpoint Consulting relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, as well as organizational and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000 (Annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position, and is just one component of Southpoint's total compensation package for employees.
