Position Summary:SubjectMatter Expert (SME) and for SAP Operational Procurement functionalities in specific to MRP related areas. Typical responsibilities include identifying process improvements, maintaining the data integrity of SAP, Procurement Planning, driving continuous improvement projects developing best procurement practices. Expected competencies include purchasing, scheduling techniques, MRP“Material Requirements Planning”, inventory optimization, risk management, and project management. Previous experience desired in purchased product planning, project management and SAP.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Operational Procurement, exchange, upgrade, and debugging support. Works collaboratively with similar functions with multiple locations.
  • Deliver results on Operational Procurement cost savings projects by recommending process improvements.
  • Develop planning models to accommodate demand variability, supplier trends and inventory optimization.
  • Lead automation projects using SAP functionalities for operational procurement, overseeing daily operations and optimizing processes.
  • Maintaining the data integrity in the plant in terms of SAP system, data governance in material masters, and developing solutions to complex problems.
  • Review and manage STR/STO process with intercompany transactions.
  • Help identify and implement best procurement practices, standardizing activities and support business needs.
  • Help implement and support Ariba platform (SLP and SCC) in multiple sites.
  • Provides user training and documentation for functionality being deployed regarding operational procurement.
  • Responsible for Master Data integrity for SAP material master within Procurement and Planning.
  • Provides User Support as needed.
  • Review and set planning methodologies and parameters within SAP.
  • Monitor System Use/adherence to Standards.
  • Performance Metric development and implementation for Operational Procurement functions.
  • Provides regular reporting for Management.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Purchasing/Operations/Engineering/Finance or proven equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Purchasing.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem resolution skills for Purchasing issues.
  • Extensive user knowledge of SAP or similar other ERP/MRP systems.
  • Educational, training, and experience requirements may be modified at the Management Team's discretion.
  • Computer proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, and project management software.
