General Information:

Support the optimization of the Dead Tank Breaker product portfolio in North America and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets as well as scheduled commitments.

Your Responsibilities:

* Detailed analysis of material, labor and other costs associated with available products.

* Develop and manage list of potential Design to Value projects.

* Analyze and document expected impact of Design to Value ideas to help prioritize team focus.

* Lead workshops to identify activities to improve the overall efficiencies within the value chain to improve product cost.

* Review customer specifications and designs to identify any roadblocks for implementation of an idea.

* Develop and maintain technology/feature assessments based on competitive benchmarking.

* Work with Product Manager & Application Manager to understand the changing application scenarios in market.

* Work with Customer Order Engineers to define a framework of improvement projects within engineering to function effectively.

* Works with operations to increase through put.

* Works closely with Product Manager and other product care experts on new product implementation.

* Periodic reporting to Management Team regarding progress on Design to Value projects.

Your Background:

* Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering preferred

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical field.

* Experience with project leadership, planning and execution; Project Management Certification a benefit

* Should possess strong leadership skills and ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.

* Strong communication skills

* Working knowledge of Windchill and Creo.

* Knowledge on any ECAD software like E3 is a plus.

* Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) is a must.

* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
