We Require
* Three years of clerical and administrative experience
* High school diploma or GED
* Other education and experience combinations may be considered a substitute for the minimum qualification
We Also Value
* Three to five years of clerical and administrative experience
* Three to five years of customer service and administrative support experience
* Three to five years of experience using a variety of office equipment and software (i.e., PC, software such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe, SharePoint)
* Experience in Medical or Corrections
* Professional communication skills
* Demonstrated reliability, work accuracy, and thoroughness
* Excellent time management skills
Job Contributions
* Maintain calendars, schedule meetings and appointments; prioritize and resolve complex meeting schedules; coordinate meeting rooms and resources
* Prepare clinic schedules and on-call schedules and maintain time-off calendars
* Prepare meeting agendas and presentation materials; take and transcribe meeting minutes and prepare summaries for distribution
* Compose correspondence and other documents on a wide variety of subjects, requiring knowledge of the department's procedures and policies
* Create, edit, and process correspondence, memoranda, letters, legal documents, information packets, and other communications
* Maintain communication between the medical director, mental health director, and support staff; answer requests within the scope of authority; route calls to appropriate individuals; take and deliver messages
* Track and monitor CME (Continuing Medical Education), mandatory training, and CPR certification expiration dates for medical providers
* Conduct and coordinate assigned projects and research studies; identify and resolve problems
* Order and maintain an inventory of supplies and process invoices
* Create databases and spreadsheets as needed to track and report information
Working Conditions
* Must also be able to work inside a detention facility. Works primarily in an office setting located at Lower Buckeye Jail on the administration floor
* Works indoors, handling a high volume of work and multiple complicated tasks with accuracy
* May be required to work under time constraints and handle frequent changes and unscheduled tasks
