THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for a highly experienced, passionate, strategic, and personable leader to step into the role of Vice President of Resort Sales and lead our resort apparel and headwear sales divisions, including brands like Blue 84, Zephyr, EMI-TGT, Yesterday's, Aksels, Altered Latitudes and Lakegirl. In this role, you will drive the growth of our resort brands through strategic leadership, collaboration, and mentoring, shaping our market presence and helping to achieve our ambitious sales goals.
It's equally important that this person is a humble, committed, motivated individual with a servant leadership style who thrives on guiding and developing team members. Understanding what it takes to sell unique product combinations, proficiency with data analytics, 5 or more years in sales and corporate sales management experience are all important qualifications for the gig. Essential Job Functions | Lead + Motivate + Create + Foster + Build + Drive Growth = Results
* Lead and motivate divisional resort sales leaders, proactively addressing challenges and driving the team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
* Collaborate with resort sales leaders to develop and implement improved systems for continually attracting and retaining additional sales reps
* Strategically collaborate with business development, line development, marketing, finance, and operations teams to craft and execute strategic sales plans aimed at achieving company sales targets and expanding our resort market presence
* Oversee the preparation and management of sales budgets, ensuring alignment with company financial goals
* Conduct regular market analyses to stay informed about resort industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs; use market insights to inform sales strategies and product development
* Continually identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential retail partners
* Develop and implement innovative sales tools, techniques, and training programs to enhance the sales team's skills, knowledge, and efficiencies
* Establish performance metrics for the sales team, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement improvement plans to address underperformance (speaking to our value of Continuous Improvement)
* Ensure effective use of CRM systems (Salesforce) to manage customer relationships and sales activities
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the sales department
* Proactively identify sales performance risks and develop actional strategies for mitigation
* Build relationships with customers through social settings, including dinners and trade shows
* Lead annual sales meeting with divisional sales leaders, aligning everyone on key priorities for each year
Qualifications | Big Picture Thinker + NIMBLE + Resort Apparel Know-How + Proactive
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales leadership and rep leadership roles, ideally within the resort product industry
* Proficiency with sales technology, such as CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong data analysis skills to track performance, analyze market trends, and translate insights into actionable sales strategies
* Demonstrated ability to anticipate and meet the needs of key accounts proactively to ensure successful positioning
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
* Passion for the resort apparel industry, including selling, customizing, and staying ahead of trends
* Enthusiastic, approachable, and optimistic personality with a great sense of humor; all pretty crucial elements for a successful sales leader
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to excel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective negotiator and interpersonal communicator
* Welcoming of change, NIMBLE, and open-minded, with and ability to embrace and drive Continuous Improvement (there's that core value again!)
* An ability to recognize our culture, contribute to it, and be a part of it; big egos, game players, me firsts , entitled, and other such traits need not apply- we kind of mean it
