REPORTS TO: Food Service Director TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 233 days PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The Food Service Operations Specialist is responsible for organizing and coordinating the necessary resources for the daily operation of the food service department. 2. Oversee ordering of food service warehouse supplies, chemicals, small and large food service equipment to include creating purchase orders when applicable. 3. Monitor, schedule and allocate the ordering of USDA commodities. 4. Oversee ordering and distribution of milk for schools. 5. Reconciles bank deposits with daily reports received from schools. Enter daily receipts by source and by school. 6. Develops and maintains required Food Service documents using Smart Fusion Software. 7. Prepare and enter journal entries and postings using Smart Fusion Software. 8. Maintain and organize data by developing and utilizing spreadsheets. 9. Prepare quotes and develop invoices for district catering functions. 10. Complete all necessary requirements for USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) when applicable. 11. Works with Powerschool Administrator to keep student databases congruent. 12. Completes annual application, submit and enter claims for Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). 13. Submit and enter claims for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP) and Afterschool Snack Program (ASP). 14. Monitor and oversee the maintenance of district food service computer software (PCS) and school computer systems in conjunction with the district technology department. 15. Install PCS cafeteria point of sale terminals and coordinates computer data lines for operation using designated accountability software (PCS). 16. Assist and train cafeteria managers and cashiers in the use of PCS computer accountability software. 17. Complete all additional duties assigned by the district Food Service Director.
