General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects, including tilt wall and PEMB buildings, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring efficient and effective execution of project plans.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to address any challenges and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including planning, sequencing, and tracking of all construction activities, with weekly updates the schedules.
  • Maintain accurate cost reports.
  • Schedules subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
  • Performs quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety are upheld, implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures on site.
  • Walks project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite.
  • Ensures subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Ensures that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Performs job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various project locations as required, with the flexibility to adapt to different work environments and cultures.
  • Perform superintendent duties at multiple job sites within the same region, simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a construction related discipline, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years extensive commercial construction experience in ground-up commercial construction, with a focus on tilt wall, PEMB, and TI projects. Experience in Mission Critical/Data Center, Self-Storage, and Cold Storage is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in safety/preconstruction/team development/retention/customer interaction.
  • Ability to lead
  • Strong engineering and construction management skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with leadership, designers, engineers, customers, project team, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Solid time management, project organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion, and professional courtesy; ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Procore construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
  • 100% travel
  • Must be able to pass background check and motor vehicle report.

  • Lift and hold in excess of 50lbs
  • Talk and hear
  • Withstand confined spaces and/or extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others.
  • Construction environment. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.
