At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.The JobThe Executive Director of Group Reservations provides overall strategic direction and oversight to ensure the efficient, consistent, and high-quality operation of group housing needs for convention and event-related groups. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, leading a high-performing team, and driving operational excellence to meet the business objectives of Borgata and MGM Resorts. All duties are to be performed in alignment with departmental, divisional, and MGM Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.The Day-to-day
  • Provides strategic leadership for departmental operations aligned with Borgata's vision and strategic plan. Collaborates with Sales, Hotel Operations, Revenue Management, and senior leadership to deliver a seamless group reservations experience. Partners with the Director of Revenue Management to optimize rates, market mix, and group block reviews.
  • Manages fiscal budgets, operational strategies, and system enhancements in collaboration with IT to drive profitability. Oversees the Direct Marketing Strategy Manager to leverage data-driven campaign segmentation and maximize group marketing through Passkey.
  • Leads Human Resources functions, fostering a culture of teamwork, performance, and diversity, while ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning. Upholds customer service standards by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Drives innovation by researching and implementing new products, services, and technologies to maintain Borgata's competitive edge in the evolving hospitality and gaming industry.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, business management, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in hotel operations management and/or group reservations management.
  • Prior experience in a similar hotel or resort setting, preferably with a focus on group sales or event coordination.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering a seamless guest experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
