Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110K/year & benefits (see below).

Our Challenge:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data ingestion processes that ensure efficient and secure data flow within our systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with development teams and other stakeholders to integrate APIs and troubleshoot transmission issues while adhering to compliance and security standards.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Data Ingestion Processes: Design and implement data ingestion processes using APIs, SMTP, SFTP, and other relevant protocols to facilitate efficient data flow across systems.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with development teams to integrate APIs that ensure seamless data transmission and retrieval, enhancing system interoperability.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data transmission issues, ensuring compliance with established protocols and security standards to maintain data integrity and availability.
  • XML Schema Development: Develop, validate, and maintain XML schemas to ensure data consistency and integrity across various applications and systems.
  • XML Document Management: Create and modify XML documents to support data exchange between systems, applications, and third-party services.
  • Archiving Policies: Develop and implement archiving policies and procedures to meet legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring data is stored and managed appropriately.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data ingestion and API integration.
  • Strong understanding of data transmission protocols (APIs, SMTP, SFTP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in XML schema development and document management.
  • Experience with archiving policies and data compliance standards to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services.
  • Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with programming languages relevant to data processing (e.g., Python, Java).
