Job Description :

We are assisting our Roseville, Minnesota client in hiring a Training Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs focused on optimizing operational efficiency and professional development for all areas of the company. This role will ensure employees are properly trained on standard procedures, policies, safety protocols, and technical skills and leadership skills required to perform their roles effectively.

100% ONSITE POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • With creativity and innovation, create/update training materials, including work instructions, manuals, presentations, online modules, and job aids.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions, classroom lectures, online, and on-the-job coaching for new hires and existing employees.
  • Transform existing content from various formats (manuals, PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) into digital training materials as necessary.
  • Monitor trainee progress, assess training effectiveness through data analytics, evaluations, surveys, and observations, and adjust training programs as needed.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of operational processes, systems, and equipment to provide accurate training content.
  • Manage training calendars, schedule classes, and coordinate with department managers to facilitate employee participation.
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Monitor metrics and calculate ROI statistics for the Employee Development function, providing detailed reports on the impact and effectiveness of programs
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Adhere to training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/AA degree (or equivalent education and/or experience) in education, training, lean, continuous improvement, industrial safety, or human resources.
  • 5 years+ of demonstrated teaching, coaching, mentoring, or training experience with at least 2 years within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in training or learning and development (e.g., CPTD, APTD).
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Experience working with quality systems and controlled processes( ISO, ITAR).
  • Must be able to communicate (read/write) in English fluently.
  • High level of computer and technology including different AI tools, AR & VR, Audio, Video, E Learning, Web Conferencing, Learning Management Systems, and Microsoft(Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, Excel).
  • High level of working knowledge of communication tools strongly preferred (for example: Captivate, WebEx, Teams etc.).
  • Experience leading organizational change efforts, especially in creating a learning centered culture.
  • Strategic vision with the ability to assess individual and team skills and knowledge within an organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with lean, safety and quality manufacturing concepts, processes, and workforce training methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and easily adapt to change.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to other facilities as needed. Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
