This role will help create a continuous improvement environment and maintain a safe, efficient workspace. The Maintenance Manager will mentor a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Buyers, Planners, Reliability Engineers, and technicians. Ensuring full compliance with company policies, customer satisfaction standards, and SQF (Safe Quality Foods) principles is key to this role. Associates are also responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues.What You'll Do:As the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on the design, implementation, and maintenance of the plant's Lockout Tagout program to ensure safety.
- Taking ownership of plant metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and using data to improve processes.
- Evaluating and enhancing maintenance practices through data and performance metrics.
- Planning and establishing work schedules and production sequences to align with performance standards.
- Using standard work processes to ensure repeatable performance.
- Coordinating with other managers to optimize operations within and between departments.
- Overseeing facility inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure timely action.
- Supporting the creation and execution of the Annual Capital Plan.
- Managing site parts inventories, overseeing parts management, and fostering vendor relationships.
- Leading sustainability initiatives and energy-reduction efforts.
- Participating in formal processes for project execution and integrating them into daily operations.
- Training and partnering with corporate teams on TPM-based Continuous Improvement (CI) tools, such as Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental policies are integrated into daily work and maintenance systems.
- Managing and achieving maintenance budget goals, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Implementing and improving TPM and RCM-based metrics, and ensuring the use of a formal Maintenance Planning Process centered on CMMS.
- Building a high-performance maintenance team by mentoring and holding team members accountable for performance.
Who You Are:We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety and quality. You'll need to have experience in managing and implementing predictive and preventative maintenance programs, as well as using KPIs to drive performance. Specifically, you will:
- Be experienced in MRO best practices, cost savings, and vendor management.
- Have knowledge of continuous improvement principles and experience facilitating Kaizen events.
- Be skilled in Root Cause Analysis to solve complex issues.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be effective in leading teams.
What You'll Need:To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred).
- At least 3 years in a reliability or maintenance leadership role, preferably in food and beverage processing.
- A solid understanding of advanced plant operations.
- Experience leading teams and managing complex maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with RCM, PSM (Process Safety Management), and environmental impact principles.
- Experience in capital and project management, wastewater treatment, or other relevant areas is a plus.
- The physical ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
