Make history with us.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Richmond Distribution Supervisor, this lead will be responsible for the NO Traffic area. This person will lead a team of 4 full-time associates and up to 10 part-time associates as needed to:Safely, efficiently and accurately load and unload packaging, ingredients, supplies and Finished Goods.Generate Bills of Lading for carriersSeek out and drive opportunities to reduce costs and errorsComplete the required work within the budgetImprove performance against department metrics on this shiftWork with the other shift leads as they do the same on their shiftsHelp lead 5S efforts in the departmentMaintain accuracy of Yard Management SystemThe lead will be required to obtain a forklift license within 30 days, assist with truck loading/unloading, driving line, inspections, safety, computer data entry, various paperwork/reports, quality compliance, etc. Two years' experience preferred. Location will be primarily at the Richmond Warehouse.COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE:Understand, run, and troubleshoot the SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management systemSchedule associates to meet daily workloadWork with other shift leads and Distribution leadership to drive continuous improvement in the departmentDevelop, train to and implement processes to improve shift performanceProvide leadership and guidance on proper loading techniques, GMP's and safetyResponsible for controlling inventory and damage at Richmond WarehousesTraining of new associates and associates' annual training - also work with other leads and the training coordinator to update training materialsDevelop and attain individual objectivesWork with associates to set Performance Objectives and provide mid-year and year end reviewsWork with little or no supervision and meet the daily load schedulesResponsible for overseeing the receiving of Raw Materials on the NO ShiftAssist with plant Forklift Licensing Program as requiredHelp drive JBS/Work Instruction program and keep them up-to-dateConduct Daily DDS Meetings, coordinate and communicate workflow between shiftsMonitor and be responsible for CHEP pallet movements and maintain accurate inventoryMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED): High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required. Bachelor's degree, is preferred1 to 3 years previous supervisory experience is preferred.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Kronos processing software.SAP Computer experience preferredMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $29.25.Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
