Successfully assists in managing personnel while maintaining food quality and safety standards. This position also performs and assists in leading food service functions, including but not limited to preparing and serving food according to Company standards and guidelines. Models professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, hospitable and team-oriented atmosphere that encourages excellence. Duties may also change to meet the ongoing needs of the business.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build the quality and morale of personnel by training, mentoring and leading to achieve high level of morale and efficiency
  • Resolve customer satisfaction related issues
  • Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the company
  • Manage weekend shifts with the ability to open and close the store
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety codes
  • Maintain flexible schedule availability for business needs
  • Ensure food is consistently prepared and served according company standards, this includes recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Assist GM in building the quality and morale of personnel by training, mentoring and leading according to company expectations
  • Control labor costs by managing employee time during the shift
  • Promote improvement in quality and productivity
  • Utilize resources effectively to attain expected goals of position
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Control and maintain food inventory and costs through controlling waste
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with team members
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of experience in food service management is preferred
  • Obtain Food Protection Manager certification
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop successful team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety practices
  • Good driving record and reliable transportation
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Continuous standing and repetitive arm/hand movement for entirety of shift
  • Frequent walking required
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or work overhead when needed
  • Lifting requirements include lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate through verbal and written practices
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Sufficient visual acuity
