JOB SUMMARY:
Directly supervises teammates in the Production Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
* Manage staffing roles and assignments in area
* Support and manage teammate safety
* Leads and manages company policies, and regulations in his/her department
* Leads the MPS development and Business Case improvement in his/her area
* Lead, direct and coach projects and improvement themes
* Supports team leaders and supports restoring production as required
* Leads the motivation, morale and growth development of his/her team leaders and teammates
* Manage time and attendance records
* Coordinates activities with other department supervisors to maintain alignment
* Evaluate and coordinate training for teammates
* Coach and develop team leaders
* Develop, support and manage to standards
* Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations
* Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding production schedules
* Facilitate problem solving and MPS processes to improve production
SECONDARY DUTIES:
* Provide technical support to the area
* Leads by example with good attendance, and high personal and business integrity
* Lead safety/emergency situations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Associate or Bachelor Degree or 3- 5 years related experience or a combinations of at least one of these: Team Leader, MPS Office, or relevant experience.
COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
* Intermediate ERP Software skills
* A high level of business acumen and comfort working in a cross-functional environment
* Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to influence
* Process oriented, proactive and customer-focused
* Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills required
* Understanding of MPS principles and practices
* Ability to problem solve to the root cause and implement countermeasures
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Directly supervise the day to day work of 10-45 teammates
* Ensure compliance with legal and Midmark policies
* Interviewing, hiring, termination, training planning, assigning and directing work
* Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, counseling or discipline as needed
* Address complaints and resolve problems and conflicts
