Compensation Range:

$84,032.00 - $109,242.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Supervises and manages Imaging technical and support staff. Works closely and in concert with IS Nursing, Clerical, IT, Faculty and staff to achieve maximum productivity with efficient and safe patient throughput while maintaining optimal customer and patient/family satisfaction

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides on site management of imaging technologists/sonographers and support staff.

* Takes lead on decisions related to recruitment, hiring, transfers, promotions, discipline and termination in accordance with UR policies.

* Plans work schedules and allocates staff as appropriate. Perform duties of an assistant supervisor or staff technologist as needed.

* Implements and enforces strict Quality Control over assigned section or units.

* Reviews, edits and approves data and results generated in his/her area(s) for general correctness and analytic reliability.

* Ensures that instrumentation, equipment and supplies are kept in good working order. Arranges for additional maintenance service as needed and in accordance with established policy.

* Designs and conducts studies for updating of methodologies and assists in the evaluation of new instrumentation and products if applicable.

* Develops, updates and implements technical training for staff on protocols, procedures, applications and hardware.

* Develops and maintains staff competencies in accordance with URMC and JCAHO standards. Keeps abreast of new developments in his/her respective field of Imaging Sciences.

* Communicates and occasionally confers with director(s) and medical staff concerning studies.

* Conducts Personnel Performance reviews. Evaluates performance of personnel for which he/she has direct responsibility in accordance with established format. Conducts Evaluation Interviews. Maintains oversight of timekeeping practices within their section.

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree preferred

* 5-7 years of clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

* School of Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic US, and Nuclear Medicine or like Diagnostic Program required

* Familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office-based programs preferred

* NYS licensure (if applicable) and ARRT certification in one of the following: Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic US or MRI required
