The College is a hidden gem located outside the Tri-Cities region-and its rural setting featuring 750+ acres of wetlands, bucolic forest, and the state's oldest and largest pecan grove.Richard Bland College of William & Mary is currently seeking part-time Campus Security Officers.Campus Security Officers will be a uniformed presence on campus to promote lawful behavior and protect the safety of students, faculty and staff, and visitors of the Richard Bland College in a professional courteous manner. Perform physical security of assigned building by controlling building access, registering/logging in guests, monitoring security cameras, patrolling building and parking lots, reporting any safety hazards, reporting suspicious and criminal activity to campus police, and enforcing Richard Bland College and the Department of Campus Safety and Police policies and regulations.Campus Security Officers (CSO) may also be assigned to any special events and activities to provide security for that function. This may include controlling the flow of guest into buildings and parking lots, checking guest belongings, ensuring and collecting proper passes and tickets. CSO's will ensure all policies and procedures are enforced in a fair and equitable manner.Minimum Qualifications~Must be a US citizen or legal resident~Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent~Must be at least 18 years of age~Experience utilizing a personal computer using current software programs and telecommunications equipment (i.e. fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, video surveillance system, and other security equipment)Additional Considerations~Current First Aid, CPR and AED training certification~Completed Incident Command System for Higher Education (IS-100) course by FEMA~Leadership experienceSpecial InstructionsYou will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
