Subsequent annual physicals are required.* Must maintain explosives certification.* Position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified Critical* under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.* This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968, which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.* Civilian Personnel of the Department of Defense are not exempt from this provision. Tasks include the loading, unloading and/or transporting of ammunitions, explosives, and hazardous materials. I have the ability to operate forklift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds or more, and/or operate motor vehicles weighing up to 26,000 pounds or more (such as shop tractors, loaders, and/or platform trucks). I also have the ability to perform operational maintenance checks to verify vehicles are in proper working order. -Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.* Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision* Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles)* Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Related to Mobile Equipment Operation)* Ability to Operate Safely (Non-motor Vehicles)* Operation of Motor Vehicles* Reliability and Dependability* Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order)* Physical Effort: Nature of work requires lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40lbs and heavier items with assistance from others and/or lifting devices. Performs work while sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing. Works from heights on truck beds, trailers, docks, and pieces of construction equipment.* Working Conditions: Work is performed in all weather conditions both indoors and out. Operates in all types of traffic and weather and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. Subject to cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or loading or unloading cargo and explosives. There is potential for slips and falls when working on or around construction equipment, docks, truck beds, and trailers.
