Job Description :

The Gaming Dealer Trainee, under the direction of the Pit Boss, is responsible for learning table games and/or other games and operation of gaming equipment. The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)

  • Attends and completes training program.
  • Works to be proficient at dealing and/or other games of operation.
  • Learns how to operate gaming equipment.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)

  • All other job related duties as assigned.

CONTACTS:

Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments and customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position sedentary primarily sitting/lifting of maximum of 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant standing, reaching, use of hearing, near/midrange vision, color/field of vision; frequent use of smell, bending; occasional walking, manual handling, use of far vision and depth perception. Working conditions include constant exposure to air quality, and dimly lit conditions; frequent noise and occasional exposure to extreme heat/cold and wet/humidity. Potential hazards include customer contact, infectious exposure and moving mechanical parts.

REQUIREMENTS;

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: N/A

Certification/License: Must be able to undergo a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to perform basic math. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person and in writing. Must be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisory personnel, coworkers and the general public. Must be able to work extended hours. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands. Must maintain confidentiality. Native American preferred.
