We have embarked on a CEO-led transformation, as part of our journey to become a truly purpose-led, future fit company.Assist the Finance Manager US to ensure that appropriate data and financial information is collected, prepared, and presented in accordance with Alphagary and Orbia policies and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for monthly GL closing activities including recording, analyzing, and monitoring all balance sheet and income statement accounts; gathers evidence to prove completion of revenue, shipping, receiving
  • Responsible for review of expense accounts for proper classification, accrual creation, prepaid reclass, recurring entries - creating reclass entries as necessary for posting approval
  • Works with appropriate personnel to ensure intercompany balancing and reconciliation at month end
  • Responsible for cash management and reporting in cooperation with Corporate Treasury
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts; create needed Audit Board documentation to reflect the reconciliations and evidence in a timely manner
  • Assist the Finance Manager US in the management of finance personnel and offer support and backup as needed; works with the AP team to resolve invoicing issues
  • Assist with periodic financial reviews and audits including internal control evaluations, internal audits, external audits, and periodic inventory counts
  • Provide support to information requests from various Orbia departments (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, IT, HR, Sales, etc)
  • Assist in the maintenance of appropriate accounting, compliance, and internal control policies and procedures as per Orbia
  • Creation of ad-hoc information at the request of Alphagary or Orbia Management
3. COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB
  • Functional:
    • Strong data management skills. There will be a requirement to use/understand S4Hana, excel, and other solutions that could be implemented.
    • Ability to analyze problems quickly and correctly and communicate solutions
    • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction
    • A clear grasp of basic accounting principles is essential. Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) is beneficial
    • Hands on capabilities, must be able to get things done
  • Communication Skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively, particularly to internal stakeholders in various locations
    • Ability to always communicate professionally
  • Management Skills
    • Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and train others to meet performance expectations.
    • Effective prioritization and timely delivery of multiple personal objectives - often time bound.
    • Effective and professional communication to AG US (Pineville, Leominster, Denver), ensuring all reporting deadlines can be met.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Academic Level: Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Business Language(s) and level of proficiency: Fluent in English Knowledge/Experience: 5 Years of experience in accounting or finance, Knowledge of SAP, Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills, Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws): Able to sit for extended periods of timeOur Global brands: Dura-Line, Koura Global, Vestolit, Netafim, Alphagary, Wavin.They offer a broad range of value added solutions and finished products that contribute to customers' success and ultimate improve the quality of life for people around the world.
