**Position Summary**
Under the guidance of and in consultation with the Associate Dean, directs the overall administration of the Office of Admissions of the Medical College for the annual enrollment of medical students.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Forecast and manage office budget for the Office of Admissions.
+ Oversee the communication of final admission decisions to all applicants and manage the wait list.
+ Interviews applicants and and interacts with faculty and students on the committee on admissions to ensure a smooth process. Schedules and organizes committee on admissions meetings.
+ Manage relationships with other medical college offices and health profession advisors. Serve on college committees and participate in regional and national conferences and meetings.
+ Organize events and oversee communications with accepted students prior to matriculation.
+ Prepare the online institutional application form and accompanying information for applicants and ensure functionality. Manage a database of applicants, including annual set-up of the database and updates to the system.
+ Prepares admissions reports for internal and external use. Oversees the transfer of relevant materials from accepted applicants to the Registrar's Office. Updates admissions letters, publications and web pages.
+ Responsible for screening, review, and processing applications within established deadlines.
+ Supervises all admissions office communications. Represents the medical college at recruitment events, professional association meetings, and panel discussions on admissions.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field
**Experience**
At least five years experience in higher education administration or a related area is required.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.
+ Computer skills and ability to work effectively with IT staff are an integral part of the position.
