Position: Senior Operations CoordinatorLocation: Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY 11735Reports To: Airport Operations ManagerJob DescriptionUnder the direction of the Airport Operations Manager, the Senior Operations Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining safety under FAR Part 139 requirements.
- Performing inspections and maintaining aeronautical area records for pavement, marking, lighting, and safety areas.
- Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF), responding to aircraft emergencies, incidents.
- Monitors the operations of the airport and resolves operational difficulties. Responsible for identifying and resolving hazardous conditions.
- Monitor Airport Operations Coordinators in the performance of their assigned duties and training.
- Wildlife management practices and control.
- Construction area requirements and coordination.
- Emergency equipment requirements and all aircraft fueling practices.
- Responsible for issuing NOTAMS, monitoring weather forecasts.
- Responsible for snow removal operations, CFME practices.
- Participates in Noise Abatement Program and Compliance.
- Represent Airport Management in routine matters
- Responsible for the daily operational duties on scheduled shift and other assigned tasks or special projects.
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Must have a college degree with a minimum of three - (3) years airport operations experience or an acceptable combination of training and experience.
- Must possess effective public communications and written skills.
- Possession of a legal NYS driver's license and obtain or acquire a commercial driver's license suitable for operation of all airport vehicles. (Class B License)
- Must pass drug test.
- Must acquire New York State Unarmed Security Guard License upon hiring
