Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Conduct tax research and stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice to clients.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to determine tax implications and ensure accurate reporting.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide updates on tax matters.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in internal and external training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
