Evenings and weekends may be required.Faculty Appt Period:Job Summary:* Serve students in the Spears School of Business by providing quality academic advising experiences that support personal, professional, and academic goals, major selection, and course selection.* Maintain ongoing focus on student success, retention, persistence, and graduation for advisees.* Demonstrate initiative and provide proactive outreach by contacting advisees regarding academic difficulties, attendance, missed enrollment dates, scholarship opportunities, major choice, etc.* Assist with special projects such as Orientation and Enrollment, Cowboy Welcome, special academic programs, commencement, etc.Special Instructions to ApplicantsPlease include: Resume, Cover Letter and Three References.Education & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in any field and zero years of administrative or advising experience.Will be required to utilize Student Information System and other university computer programs to assist with student enrollment and advisement processes. Must be service oriented and able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and the general public in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in social sciences, education, counseling, or business.Five years directly related advising and administrative experience.Oklahoma State University (OSU) strives to provide a safe study, work, and living environment for its faculty, staff, volunteers and students.
