Position Details Req ID:req18978 Position Title:INSTRUCTOR - DESIGN/DRAFTING Position Type:FacultyPosition Number:230081 OSU Campus:OSU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Department:School of Engineering & Construction Technologies Location Address:Okmulgee, OklahomaUnited StatesHiring Supervisor:Hiring Range:(Contingent upon available funding):57,000.00 - 62,000.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule:Variable Faculty Appt Period:12 months (trimester) Job Summary:GENERAL SUMMARY:Thisposition will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree inthe Design/Drafting Technologies program.The focus of this instructional position will include teaching inAutoCAD 2D & 3D, SoildWorks, Revit, CADWorx, Civil 3D, GIS, &SDS2.This will range from fundamental drafting basics to advanced designtechniques and 3D printing.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of students' progressand provide them to administration when appropriate.
- The instructional load, which is 15 credithours per semester, may consist of day and night classes or distancelearning.
- This person will also be expected to maintainregular office hours.
- Developing and updating course materials andcurriculum in conjunction with the ETD faculty, advisory committeerepresentatives, general education faculty and technical program facultywill be an essential job function.
- Assumedaily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of classrooms andlaboratories.
- Willinglyprovide tours for prospective students, parents and other campus visitors.
- Routinelyattend and participate in special events, e.g. graduation, studentextra-curricular activities, advisory committee meetings, student move-inday, employee recognition functions, student club activities, field trips,etc.
- Willinglyspend the time necessary to accomplish assigned tasks andresponsibilities.
- Maintainup-to-date course outlines, objectives, assignments and tests.
- Serveon appropriate curriculum committees.
- Willinglyparticipate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
- Fosterand maintain collaborative relationships with industry representatives andpartners.
- Designinteractive, engaging, technology-enriched and applications-focusedstudent learning experiences.
- Participatefully in the academic assessment of student learning in alignment with theexpectations of accreditation and governing entities.
- Willinglyassist with the wide array of OSUIT's student recruitment strategies.
- Representthe School and University in appropriate professional and communityorganizations and related activities.
- Fulfill other responsibilities to meet theneeds of the School or OSUIT.
