Job Description Milieu Coordinator - Weekends Adult Campus This position participates in ensuring the efficient functioning of the therapeutic milieu along with the Chief Clinical Officer through developing both immediate and ongoing strategies to maintain the therapeutic milieu; provides ongoing supervision of the Mental Health Technicians. Consistently communicates with the Registered Nurses on shift, Director of Nursing, and the Chief Clinical Officer. Essential Job Duties :
- Demonstrates understanding, commitment, and accountability for driving Service Excellence
- Interprets Residential Treatment Center policies for staff and residents. Answers questions and refers staff and residents to proper person when a question cannot be answered.
- Monitors resident actions/behaviors and staff interventions within the program.
- Supervises Mental Health Technicians on their shift.
- Delegate duties to Mental Health Technicians based on resident needs and individual staff members abilities.
- Completes 90-Day Performance Evaluations and Annual Performance Evaluations on all assigned staff members.
- Monitors resident actions/behaviors and staff interventions within the program.
- Identifies the staff development needs of individual staff or groups of staff and develops/implements training plans. Communicates those needs to the Program Director.
- Ensures that daily resident schedule is followed. Ensures other staff members implement and follow established schedule.
- Has a basic understanding of Common Psychiatric Diagnoses. Can recognize behaviors associated with and use proper intervention techniques for Common Psychiatric Diagnoses.
- Manages the appropriateness and completeness of staff's documentation.
Qualifications Education:Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related fields preferred. Experience may substitute for education.Experience:Minimum one year of experience in a mental health setting. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Positive leadership skills, excellent resident interaction and milieu management skills are required.License/Certification:Skills:Must obtain and maintain CPR certification and Florida Driver's License.Good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates emotional stability and dependability. Must have good driving record. Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels.Physical Requirements:Extensive walking, standing, sitting, climbing stars.
