Details Client NameNorth Country Hospital - AA Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyL&D Job ID29931865 Job TitleTemp to Perm - International RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D) (Nights) Newport, VT Weekly Pay$2002.0 Shift Details ShiftNight - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date01/06/2025 End Date10/03/2027 Duration143 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: International Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 143 days Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36-hour guarantee Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required License: Nursing license with no hits Certifications: Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) preferred Must-Have: - Own vehicle (required due to lack of public transportation) - Cerner EMR experience (required) - BSN preferred Job Description: - Assess and monitor the condition of pregnant patients before, during, and after childbirth - Assist doctors and midwives in the delivery of babies - Administer medication and conduct necessary medical procedures under the direction of healthcare providers - Coach mothers during labor, including but not limited to breathing and relaxation techniques - Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with breastfeeding - Communicate with patients and their families, explaining procedures and providing emotional support - Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records - Operate and monitor medical equipment such as fetal monitors - Identify any complications or emergencies and respond swiftly - Educate parents about newborn care, including bathing, feeding, and cord care Additional Requirements: - Strong clinical assessment and communication skills - Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations - Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends - Commitment to patient-centered care and a positive birthing experience - Incorporate evidence-based best practices into daily settings through holistic, quality-based with the most up-to-date research and knowledge Candidates must adhere to all policies and standards of behavior. Holiday shifts required if needed. Traveler candidates may float to non-complex overflow patients within the scope of practice. Applicants must have their own vehicle.
