- Help and work alongside teams in every department to teach best practices and meet goals
- Provide and coach for excellent customer service
- Work with store manager to identify and meet the product related needs of the store on a daily basis
- Accurately and safely execute functions for the opening and closing of the store
- Serve as manager on duty as needed (including on the sales floor)
- Assist with the training and development of new employees
- Ring customer sales
- Control cash and complete banking functions
- Direct a retail sales floor team to be sure that customers are helped, shelves and racks are full and the store is clean
- Sort, grade and price donated products using store guidelines and computer generated ticketing software
- Work alongside and direct a team responsible with primary responsibility for accepting donations, keeping a well-organized warehouse and moving product for processing or storage
- Drive, maneuver and park company owned vehicles up to 26,000 gvw.
- Sort product into recycling and storage categories
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials
- Regularly conduct and document safety inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work site
- Answer the phone with courtesy and respect
This position qualifies for the following benefits:
- Starting rate: $19.00 per hour followed by eligibility for annual performance-based increases with maximum pay of $21.93 per hour. Highest pay as a result of ongoing good performance and years of service. Paid sick and vacation leave accrued based upon hours worked.
