Our plant located in Sterling Heights (Michigan) is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Multi-Site HSS (Health, Safety, and Sustainability) Manager to join our team!
The role of Multi-Site HSS (Health, Safety, and Sustainability) Manager is to oversee safety, health, and sustainable compliance within the Americas Region (supporting different sites).
Responsibilities
- Identify & manages Health, Safety and Sustainability (HSS) (and Security*) risk assessment and program in the Plant(s).
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal & Group mandatory rules & requirements. Liaise with local regulatory entity as required. Make management aware of & fulfill requirements.
- Elaborate a mid-term and (bi)-annual HSS Programs and action plan for the plant(s).
- Carry out, Guides and coach accident/ incident investigations and communicate Lessons Learnt.
- Complete assigned HSS deliverables in programs / Program phases.
- Identify HSS (*and Security) training needs in the plant and drives audits, coaching and training.
- Lead HSE team at plant level. Challenge and coach team members and ensure individual development.
- Ensure monthly reporting of key indicators (accidents, environmental data, fire safety...).
- Manage action plans to support the above & notify management when actions are not completed on time.
- Actively contribute to Motherson SAS HSS network.
- Set and control the plant Neutrality, accordingly with the group / Business division strategic plan for CO2 neutrality.
- Lead the Sustainability related data gathering and consolidation for the EGS / CSR reporting.
- Manage alerts for legal liabilities in the plant(s).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of related experience in Occupational Safety implementing and Managing Health, Safety, and Environmental Programs required.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to speak and conduct effective training in front of small and large audiences.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and other relevant standards.
- Knowledgeable in HSE regulations and requirements.
- Expected travel- variable between 20% to 40%.
