Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Auditor to join our team. The Lead Auditor is responsible for leading and executing audits, risk assessments, and validation activities within their assigned domain. They collaborate with Bank Management, oversee the work of Auditors, and maintain adherence to professional auditing standards. This role involves a significant focus on IT audit planning and execution, including handling core applications.
Responsibilities
• Lead and execute audits from planning to reporting, ensuring timely and quality deliverables in compliance with professional standards and the Division's methodology.
• Perform assurance activities and advisory services, including continuous auditing, product delivery assessments, and retrospective reviews, using modern audit tools and techniques.
• Draft audit findings that clearly identify risk and root cause, and communicate them effectively to Bank Management.
• Partner with stakeholders, Risk Management, and business leaders while maintaining independence.
• Incorporate data analytics and automation techniques into audits and related activities.
• Coach, develop, and oversee the work of Auditors and new hires, providing review and supervision.
• Embrace and drive innovative changes within the team and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Support the organization's commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging.
• Contribute to achieving the Division's priorities and goals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and proven experience as a Lead Auditor.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodology, IT general controls, and audit planning.
• Experience leading walkthroughs, determining audit scope, and executing planning documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Familiarity with using data analytics and automation techniques in audit processes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced expertise in IT audit methodologies, including handling core applications.
• Strong project management skills, including assigning workloads and leading team meetings.
• Prior experience with audits involving complex IT environments.
• Ability to adapt to tight timelines and collaborate closely with management.
• Availability to start immediately in January for a project scheduled throughout Q1, with potential contract extension based on project needs.
