Adecco Creative and Marketing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Postproduction Video Editor Assistant to support our clients Video team in delivering exceptional video projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing and postproduction processes, with expertise in software like Final Cut Pro X, After Effects, Compressor, and Photoshop. This role requires a creative partner who can collaborate effectively with editors and other team members to ensure high-quality outputs.
The pay range for this position is between $70-$80hr. This role is onsite in Cupertino, 30hrs per week. Please only local candidates apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist video editors in various stages of the postproduction process.
- Log and organize raw footage, reconcile dailies, and manage Original Camera Negatives (OCN).
- Prepare final picture/audio deliverables, including exporting QuickTime files and building select rolls.
- Search for sound effects (SFX) and create titles for projects.
- Archive projects and maintain organized workflows.
- Serve as a creative partner to editors by judging and selecting the best footage and performing initial edits.
- Form creative partnerships with copywriters, art directors, producers, and directors.
- Build and implement effective strategies tailored to different styles and creative needs across various projects.
- Act as a champion for client brand standards, ensuring all creative work aligns with established guidelines.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, Compressor, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with MacOS and iOS systems.
- Strong understanding of Associated Press (AP) or Chicago style grammar, spelling, syntax, diction, and punctuation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage QC and prep work for projects.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Expertise in collaborating and articulating editing recommendations to writers and other team members.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in a full-time editing role.
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
