Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure the best possible value.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, identify purchasing needs, and ensure that all materials and components are available for production without overstocking.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with production and operations teams to forecast material needs, manage lead times, and optimize the supply chain.
- Cost Management: Analyze and evaluate procurement costs, work to identify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality or production timelines.
- Order Management: Oversee the entire purchasing process, from order creation to tracking shipments and ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials meet our high standards.
- Data Analysis: Utilize procurement software and spreadsheets to track orders, analyze spending patterns, and report on purchasing metrics.

The Successful ApplicantTo be successful in this role, you wil bring a blend of industry experience, technical acumen, and excellent communication/negotiation skills to drive results. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably within manufacturing or kitchenware industries.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and navigate complex procurement processes.
- Education: A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred (a blend of professional experience and education will be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelor Degree).
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in using procurement software (Great Plains Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and management.
