We're seeking multiple Full-Time Child Care Preschool Teachers and Assistants with a passion for educating children, having fun, and building great relationships. We assist teachers in implementing our research-based curriculum in a way that meets each child's needs. Their responsibilities include:
- Planning- Create daily activity plans that align with the school curriculum and focus on different areas of child development. Materials available to select from premade criculumns.
- Teaching- Inspiring children in age-appropriate activities that are educational and fun, such as reading stories, puppet story time, playing, using art, and going on field trips.
- Managing- Maintain a clean and safe classroom, manage classroom activities like lessons, breaks, meals, and play, and enforce rules of behavior. Transition student through the different centers in your classroom, dramatic play with costumes, run a restaurant, writing center.
- Supporting- Help children reach developmental milestones, learn basic skills like identifying colors and shapes, and build their sense of identity and belonging.
- Communicating- Develop positive relationships with children and parents, and communicate with parents about their child's progress and development. Working through age appropriate emotional intelligence in actions and words.
The following skills and qualifications include but not limited to:
- One year of relevant childcare experience
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
- Ensures the safety of the children entrusted in care
- Submit to a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB testing upon hire
- Organizes, designs and leads activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
- Participates in continued professional development for childcare workers
- Maintains all state requirements for childcare workers
- Physical requirements the ability to lift children (25 lbs) and standing for prolonged periods
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday - no late evenings
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required) or currently enrolled in a school internship program.
