HRIS Specialist/Payroll

JOB SUMMARY:

The Payroll/HRIS specialist primary focus of this position is to support payroll and the maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS) Ceridian Dayforce. This position serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Supporting the HR/payroll functions which may include processing of New Hires, terminations, employee changes, payroll & commission payments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* HCM: Update HCM system as needed with employee maintenance, and other changes. Maintain the system to keep the integrity of system accurate.

* System Maintenance: Review, test and implementation of HRMS upgrades or patches. Maintain HCM tables. Present new features & changes to HR department.

* Production Support: Provide support for HCM, including researching and resolving HCM problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

* Reports/Queries: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs.

* Individual Development: Maintain awareness of current trends in the Ceridian Dayforce HCM with a focus on product and service development, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HCM application/tools knowledge.

* Process Weekly Payroll: Ensure timely processing of weekly payroll. Update employee maintenance, salary changes and employee status changes. Enter benefit and other company deductions.

* Reconciliation: Reconcile the weekly payroll before being processed to ensure the accuracy of the payroll.

* Wage Attachments: Process and monitor wage attachment orders for weekly payroll.

* HR Paperwork: Processing new hire paperwork and employee changes electronically.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Well organized person with strong administrative and good interpersonal skills. A person who is very dependable, and who can work independently.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience

* Three to five years of HRIS or payroll experience.

Preferred:

* SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

* Ceridian Dayforce working experience

* Systems implementation experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* The ability to complete work quickly and properly.

* Must have good technology, interpersonal, and organizational skills
