Senior AccountantThe senior accountant will have the responsibility to handle all financial and administrative activities of 13 location franchise quick-serve restaurant operation. The Senior Accountant supports the overall accounting function, including general ledger postings, reconciliations, and reporting.Key duties and responsibilities:Preparation of accounting entries to the general ledgerBank ReconciliationsReconciliation of Daily Store sales & deposit activityAccounts PayableMonthly financial close & reportingProvide support for auditors, as needed.Carry out special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.Understanding of GAAPExperience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Sage IntaactThrough understanding of Quickbooks,Pro Plus 2023Knowledge of banks, banking systems and cash management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in the quick-serve restaurant industry is a plus.The individual will need the ability to deal effectively with a variety of company personnel, owners and outside firms/organizations. Also, needed is a broad base of technical knowledge and skills in accounting theory, principles and methods and strong analytical skills and attention to detail.This position provides a competitive benefit package including company medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, life/disability options, paid time off and 401K programs.This job opportunity is in Rutland, VT and is not a remote work position.Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 depending upon experience.
