**Job Title:** General Medicine Provider**Job Specialty:** General Medicine**Job Duration:** As needed basis, ongoing**Shift:** Day shifts, PRN**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Active and unrestricted full license required in Louisiana**Certifications:** Board Certified, DMA certification available post-credentialing**Must-Have:**- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions- Own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products)- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification- ECFMG certificate if education was completed in a different country**Job Description:**- Perform non-treatment compensation pension exams and separation health assessments for Veterans.- The evaluations primarily involve interviews with some physical assessments like range of motion and muscle strength testing.- No prescribing or treatment is involved.- Use a Goniometer and must be familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardio assessments.- Complete and submit standardized forms using the provided secure online portal within 48 hours of exam completion.- Participate in a PEP session/training before the first shift to navigate the portal and enhance reporting skills.- May require brief record reviews and follow-up administrative tasks such as completing addendums and medical opinions.- Providers might be asked to travel to other areas for assisting with cases; travel expenses will be reimbursed as per guidelines.- Initial scheduling restricted to 5-10 Veterans every two weeks, with restrictions lifted typically within 1-3 months.*Note: Credentialing, training sessions, and ongoing support will be provided to ensure smooth onboarding and practice.*
