Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology Enterprise Systems team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP systems-specifically Ellucian Banner and/or Workday-and a proven track record of delivering robust system integrations. The role requires expertise in enterprise application integration, APIs, and middleware, particularly using tools like Ellucian Ethos, iPaaS platforms, or similar technologies. This individual will play a critical role in implementing, optimizing, and maintaining integrations across our enterprise systems, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between applications.

Open to remote applicants but some new hire paperwork may need to be completed in person.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ERP systems (Ellucian Banner, Workday) and other enterprise applications using Ethos, iPaaS tools, and other middleware solutions.

* Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and data flow issues to ensure system performance, accuracy, and reliability.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (functional leads, developers, and stakeholders) to understand business requirements, identify integration needs, and provide effective technical solutions.

* Develop APIs, workflows, and automation scripts to support system interoperability and improve process efficiency.

* Provide expertise in integration architecture, identity management, ensuring best practices in security, scalability, and performance.

* Assist with documenting integration processes, technical designs, and workflows to create a reliable knowledge base for future support.

* Support testing, validation, and deployment efforts to ensure integrations meet functional and technical requirements.

* Partner with vendors, such as Ellucian, to coordinate solutions and address system challenges.

* Proactively monitor systems and integrations to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.

* Serve as a key resource for enterprise systems initiatives, including ERP optimization, SaaS and iPaaS solutions, and other enterprise integrations.

* Ability to thrive in a remote/hybrid IT workforce and duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in enterprise systems development, integrations, or middleware solutions.

* Hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner (including Ethos, Data Connect) and/or Workday ERP systems.

* Proven expertise in API development, middleware tools, and integration platforms.

* Experience working with SaaS and cloud-based solutions, as well as on-premise-to-cloud integrations.

* Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, including data flows, mappings, and system dependencies.

* Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Javascript, PL/SQL) and familiarity with modern integration technologies.

* Experience troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues effectively.

* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Competencies

* Experience with Ellucian Ethos Integration, Ellucian Banner, Workday.

* Familiarity with higher education business processes.

* Understanding of data security protocols, IDM, SSO, and data encryption.

* Certification in integration platforms or ERP systems is a plus.
