The Director of Records and Registration supervises the planning, implementation and evaluation of registration, student records, academic regulatory functions, and research for curriculum, workforce development and continuing education students at the College.
* Responsible for all registration, schedule adjustment, and beginning/end of term processes for Curriculum and Continuing Education classes.
* Coordinate, implement, and audit all records for Continuing Education, Career College Promise (CCP) and Burke Middle College (BMC).
* Recommend policy on matters relating to the design and operation of registration, matriculation and certification, record keeping, and research of curriculum students.
* Develop and implement procedures for registration of students, including coordination with the institution's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
* Develop and implement procedures for students' admissions within the policies established by the College and the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS).
* Develop and implement statistical reports on enrollment and matriculation of students as required by the College, NCCCS, and the U. S. Department of Education.
* Administer necessary academic regulatory functions in accordance with College policies.
* Responsible for maintaining a system of student records and cumulative files with adequate provisions for security and storage.
* Plan, coordinate, and evaluate registration procedures to the College and to specific programs.
* Management of admissions application via College Foundation of North Carolina.
* Management of and WPCC liaison for Residency Determination Services.
* Prepare enrollment reports and statistical data for institutional use and for state and federal reports to include all North Carolina Community College System requirements as required.
* Direct issuance of educational records in accordance with College policy, state, and federal regulations.
* Responsible for the evaluation of all graduation applications.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Services.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education, background, and/or training equivalent to a Bachelor's degree required.
* Knowledge of or experience in classroom teaching and counseling.
* Knowledge of and experience in supervision and administration in higher education, preferably in a community college.
* Knowledge of and experience with student records and registration.
* Experience with NCCCS Programs of Study and the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree preferred.
* Knowledge of and experience with curriculum, workforce development, and continuing education and registration preferred.
