DescriptionSUMMARYResponsible for resolving work requests and completing projects that support customer needs specific to enterprise applications and database technologies including administration of the college's account provisioning application, document management solution, collaboration and productivity tools, and learning management system. Performs the role of technical lead to implement enterprise technologies and incorporate college systems and workflows with existing campus technologies.Essential FunctionsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Resolves work requests and completes projects involving Enterprise Technologies functions and capabilities. Completes task assignments and modifies priority levels based on service impact and customer needs.Focuses on customer needs specific to network account, database, Colleague (ERP), learning management system (Canvas) and Colleague reporting tool (Webi).Anticipates, identifies, researches, develops, and documents solutions to customer problems. Works with peers and vendors as needed to determine the best possible solution.Monitors product lifecycles to maintain continuous vendor support and completes upgrades or replacement projects prior to support expiration.Researches and resolves issues identified by end users during testing of Enterprise Technologies system upgrades and system maintenance updates.Reviews enterprise system capabilities, workflows, and limitations to determine if requested changes and enhancements are possible within existing systems. Designs system specifications to best meet end user needs while maintaining information security standards.Works with and often leads teams on projects that maintain or improve systems that serve and support students. Coordinates project team meetings, logistics, and scheduling of events. Establishes and executes a clear and concise communication plan.Evaluates project proposals to assess feasibility and requirements. Determines scope, cost, and duration; ensures that college strategic goals are addressed in project planning efforts.Implement enterprise technologies and incorporate new systems and workflows with existing campus technologies including extracting, transforming, and loading of data.Assists end-users with reporting needs including defining, designing, writing, and implementing new reports that extract information from the college's enterprise systems.Integrates college information contained in academic, administrative, operational and directory-enabled databases or sources.Maintains SQL and related database technologies. Ensures business continuity by implementing and testing disaster recovery protocols and procedures.Manages application-level user and group security for Enterprise Technologies applications.Serves as facilitator for departmental liaison group(s). Promotes relationships between Information Technology and the college community while increasing support and understanding of current and emergent enterprise technologies.Collaborates with peer institutions to exchange knowledge and share best practices. Participates in regional user groups and online communities to gain insights on technical applications and solutions.Writes and maintains documentation of changes to technical processes, procedures, and user support materials. Translate and communicate technical information into non-technical terminology.Routinely trains end users and technical support staff to use enterprise technology services and features.Ensures that external and internal regulations and policies governing data management are met including regulations concerning information security, compliance audits, and data privacy.Report all information security threats and activities that may compromise or destroy data to IT management in a timely manner.Understands, supports, and actively demonstrates the College's mission, vision, beliefs, and values.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. May assign work to other department employees while functioning as project manager and may direct the work of student employees.CONTACTS AND PURPOSE OF CONTACTSInternal: Frequent contact with college personnel within and outside of the department in planning, coordinating, information sharing, problem solving, and technical specification capacity. Ability to quickly develop written and verbal communication for mass distribution to customers during college wide system disturbances.Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
