Unit Assistant/CNA - In-Patient Hospice UnitVariable/PRN needsThe Ferris Care Center (FCC) in-patient hospice unit team provides short-term care in a home-like setting where friends and family can be present during the most difficult times. The team focusses on intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who can no longer be at home but would rather not be hospitalized. Our approach to care includes comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support.SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : The FCC Team Assistant has both administrative and clinical job responsibilities. Duties include various clerical tasks, maintenance of medical records, assisting with personal care, documentation of care, and assisting with other CNA tasks on the unit. It is anticipated that both roles may be required during a single shift.QUALIFICATIONS :* Current Colorado CNA license is maintained throughout employment.* Current CPR certification is maintained throughout employment.* Minimum one year experience working as a CNA.* Previous administrative experience in healthcare preferred.COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS :* Experience in general computer usage.* Above average secretarial organizational skills.* Word processing and data entry knowledge skills.* Electronic health records competence.* Excellent relational skills on a personal level and on the telephone.What We Offer:* Competitive pay starting at $20.00 per hour for CNA's with more than 6 months experience; $18.50 per hour for those with less than 6 months experience with an opportunity to move up to $20.00 at 6 months if proficient.* Tuition Assistance program for advancing your nursing career* EAP & Disability* 403b Retirement plan with up to 3% employer match* 15% discount at Spoons Bistro & Bakery, and Heirlooms locationsAt HopeWest, we hold strong core values that are followed internally with staff as well as in the daily care of our patients & their loved ones.
