Operating as an affiliate company of LearnWell, ilearn wellness will use the 26 years of experience LearnWell and Comprehensive Counseling have accrued to create a caring atmosphere centered around strong clinical programming to support the whole patient. LearnWell's purpose is to improve the lives of those facing behavioral health needs by providing more equitable access to counseling and academic services. We are thrilled to take the next step in our mission with the opening of ilearn wellness group's day clinic.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on mental health technician to support the core clinical needs during evening program hours (4:30pm-8:30pm - Mon, Wed, Thurs). The mental health technician will work within a multidisciplinary team in a new, innovative partial hospital setting with adolescents. The mental health technician will participate in leading and monitoring therapeutic groups and milieu to support patients ages 13-18. Group programming includes the following: CBT, DBT, ACT, social skills, psychoeducation, creative arts therapy, health education, and mindfulness.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensures a safe, therapeutic, and engaging environment by participating in the direct care of patients in the milieu throughout group program day. Including but not limited to, checking in and checking out patients when they arrive/dismissal, supporting patients in returning to group, supervising milieu activity (i.e. going to the nurse, restroom, etc.).

Supports the facilitation of group therapy, by engaging patients, supervising appropriate use of technology, and well-being of the group dynamics.

Be in communication with outside providers including PCP, outpatient providers, schools etc. throughout treatment and assisting with implementing discharge care for patients.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to manage discharge follow up appointments for patients.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care throughout clinical, therapeutic, and educational environments. Provides input on adolescents' progress, behavior, and readiness for the transition to different levels of care. Facilitates coordinated interventions to address adolescents' behavioral health needs comprehensively.

Maintains appropriate documentation of patient observations and events.

Supports management of lobby and waiting area, answering the phone, and communicating with Intake Social Worker about attendance.

Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and other governing organizations.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience with adolescent population preferred.

Experience in a mental health setting preferred.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.

Ability to cover the following shifts:Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (4:30pm-8:30pm)
