JOB SUMMARY:

The primary functions of the Used Equipment Manager are to develop and implement effective strategies and processes that increase used equipment sales, profit margins and inventory turnover that will achieve organizational goals for growth in revenue and profitability. Will be responsible for managing policies that involve valuation, reconditioning and wholesale of the equipment. Track aged and under-utilized equipment and develops plans to move the used inventory. This opportunity represents Shoppa's Material Handling and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receive, prioritize, prepare, and submit repair estimates to external and internal customers upon request. Calculate parts and labor as needed for all estimates.
• Communicate effectively with customers on items including quote status and the specifics of the quoted repair.
• Create the best possible customer experience by communicating relevant details in a clear and efficient manner.
• Maintain customer rapport by delivering estimates in a considerate manner and being prepared for follow up questions and concerns.
• Ensure quality customer service by verifying warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing available records.
• Take prompt and appropriate action upon receiving quote approval or quote decline.
• Process quote approvals and prepare work orders for the work to be completed.
• Work closely with the parts department to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner consistent with the customer's expectations.
• Communicate quote status and quote approval effectively to the service advisors and sales team.
• Review and communicate parts availability to ensure customers are properly informed and updated about their pending repair.
• Review internal and customer supplied documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Keep detailed records of all completed activities.
• All other duties & special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma: College degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the material handling, heavy equipment, or automotive industry.
• Experience in generating quotes preferred.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer is a plus.
• Additional parts or forklift experience is a plus.
• Positive attitude and well-groomed appearance required.
• Excellent customer service follow-up and resolution skills required.

Physical Demands:

Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.

Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
