Job Title: Metallurgical Process Engineer
Reports To: Casting Manager
Location: Fulton, MS
Description: The Metallurgical Process Engineer will lead continuous improvement efforts in the casting and refining of Copper and Copper related alloys. Technical knowledge and experience with Copper related processes is highly beneficial, but not necessary.
Responsibilities: Operational Efficiency: Be the subject matter expert on casting and refining operations. Drive operational efficiencies through fostering a culture of performance, continuous improvement and elimination of waste. Design and implement personnel training in pursuit of best-in-class safety and operational processes.
Materials Management: Develop and refine robust material charging procedures to reduce material costs while simultaneously ensuring product quality and machine up-time. Oversee testing and quality methods associated with raw material procurement.
Quality Support: Provide expert analysis and opinions in support of product quality claims.
Project Management: Collaborate with engineering and management to define opportunities for capital investment, and lead projects in support of driving energy efficiency, increased usage of recycled content, and automating labor-intensive processes.
Needed for Success: Functional knowledge of mechanical fundamentals like thermodynamics, physics, strength of materials, failure analysis, and basic metallurgy.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Engineering or Chemistry Required – Masters and/or P.E. License Preferred
