Senior Program Manager is a member of the Community Screening and Clinical Trial Education team supporting the tactical execution of project and program management within Medical Affairs. This position reports to the AVP, Community Screening and Clinical Trial Education and will play a critical role in leading programming as well as providing program and administrative support for all aspects of these dynamic Breakthrough T1D efforts. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, diverse experience and skills, and collaborative spirit to a high-performing team. They will be comfortable with ambiguity, flexible with performing diverse tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Past experience in the clinical setting or allied health professions is preferred.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Program:
- Lead the Breakthrough T1D Participant Advisory Council (PAC) including recruitment, onboarding, member retention, and development of Standard Operating Procedures
- Liaise with members of the scientific community, industry, and government agencies to support/facilitate utilization of the PAC by principal investigators.
- Responsible for organizational and departmental goals related to the PAC, including fiscal year goals for participation, utilization, and reporting
- Serve as point person for legal and regulatory aspects of the PAC and ensure all processes and materials are appropriately reviewed and approved
- Lead exploratory work on the lived experience for individuals in early T1D, including identifying expert partners, coordinating focus groups, recruiting participants, and disseminating findings
- Lead departmental efforts to organize and provide clinical review of Breakthrough T1D public and internal facing materials for partner departments including MarCom, Community Engagement, Human Resources, and others.
- Present updates at Breakthrough T1D events including community summits, board meetings, and other community events
- Serve as liaison with the Breakthrough T1D IT department related tot data management and other projects Define and implement data quality protocols to proactively identify and correct data issues. Includes managing the department's CRM to ensure database of contacts and organizations is accurate and clean of duplicates.

- Assist with HCP education programs for early detection, disease modifying therapies, and cell therapies. Provide review of educational planning forms, slide decks, and handouts as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:- Program management experience.
- Strong capacity to learn and utilize medical, technical, scientific information needed to advance project goals.
- Prior work experience in a scientific research environment, clinical care, public health, and/or a not-for-profit organization is preferred.
- Clinical experience or past role as a certified diabetes care and educational specialist in type 1 diabetes preferred.
- Experience in organizing and leading committees, giving presentations, and generating written reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and partners effectively and diplomatically, maintaining confidentiality when appropriate.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment and to balance competing needs.
- Capacity to synthesize diverse information and formulate solutions to meet needs from various perspectives.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and deliver high-quality and timely results.
- Ability to travel 6-8 times per year to NYC HQ, conferences and team meetings.
EDUCATION:- Master's Degree preferred, with 2 or more years of professional work experience
- College Degree or equivalent, with 5-7 or more years of professional work experience in a clinical environment preferred
Target Salary - $80k - $100k
