SUMMARY: NHA is seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to work within its Partner Services Department. This role will assist in the coordination and execution of key tasks related to maintaining relationships with partner schools and developing opportunities for new schools. Reporting to the Director of Government Relations and Growth, this position is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan with occasional travel required. Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree, background representing an organization with external stakeholders, and prior experience in the charter sector is a plus. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize market research tools to gain greater understanding of local community educational needs. Explore new school development opportunities in states where NHA currently operates as well as in states new to the organization by identifying and monitoring trends across the country. Assist local groups through the charter application and authorization process. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to review pending issues related to opening new charter schools with the opportunity to serve as a liaison to community groups and organizations that may align with NHAs growth objectives. Lead efforts to draft, edit, and offer feedback on comprehensive new charter school applications. Lead multiple complex long-term projects at one time, including compiling critical documents and working with stakeholders. Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree is required Three to five years of professional experience Strong communication skills information-gathering, writing, editing, and speaking Foundational understanding of research and presentation tools/software (Microsoft Office, mapping, etc.) Ability to work independently and in team settings with a strong attention to detail Ability to travel as assigned and represent NHA with external stakeholders Ability to produce clear and concise project updates for manager and team leadership Sense of urgency, excellence, and resourcefulness This is an in-person position at our NHA Service Center located at 3850 Broadmoor Ave., Grand Rapids, MI.
