The Director, Finance & Special Projects, is responsible for in-depth financial management, analysis, and strategic insights into the Company's overall business. The Director, Finance & Special Projects, will manage key business projects for the portfolio of companies. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, they will also develop short and long-term goals to ensure the financial success of the portfolio of companies. By analyzing current trends and past performance, they will develop cost containment and process improvement strategies. This position requires a balance of strong financial acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with Company goalsAssist with the preparation of corporate governance materialsIdentify cost savings opportunities, conduct cost-benefit analysis for these opportunities and assist the executive management team in executing on the opportunitiesFocus on process improvement in all aspects of the finance transaction cycle including recommending, implementing and monitoring changesPrimary responsibility for the annual budgeting process from start to finishAssist with the management of the Company's banking relationshipsAct as liaison between business units and Executive LeadershipLead and participate in a variety of special projects as directed by the CFOEffectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the CFO and Board of DirectorsQualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a Finance or accounting fieldMinimum 5 years' experience in a high-level Corporate Finance position or accounting position; 8-10 years preferredCPA preferredCompetencies:Problem solving and analysisInterpersonal and written/verbal communication skillsComputer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
