The Alumni Engagement and Communications Specialist will be responsible for implementing strategic communication plans for Retirees and Alumni. They will take on the role of Divisional Communicator for this group and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Communications to convey key messages to Retirees as initiatives or campaigns are rolled out to employees. The Alumni Engagement and Communications Specialist will craft and publish print and digital content, respond to questions and inquiries, participate in the day-to-day administration of Retirement and Special Programs and foster positive relationships with Retirees & Alumni. This position is based in Atlanta, GA. Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
- Execute communication strategy including ongoing review of existing letters and forms for updating and republishing.
- Manage and update DeltaNet, social media (Sky Hub), and other digital communication platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams & external teams (DRC) to align communications strategies for various initiatives impacting Retirees & Alumni (divisional communicator).
- Craft and distribute communications such as newsletters and company announcements.
- Day to day retirement and pension administration.
- Demonstrates ability to review and analyze data, trends and issues to resolve challenges in a timely manner.
- Partners with other escalation partners including AskHR team to determine process and coordination between resources.
- Other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or 3 + years communications experience.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Content Management and Social Media engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker and storyteller with strong problem-solving skills.
- Solution-oriented, capable of multi-tasking and having demonstrated the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
