If you are interested in this role, Apply Today!Job Description:Client is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Kearney, NE location. The primary function of the Machine Operator is to set up, operate and/or tend a bank of machines meeting specification to produce high quality parts for our customers. They will also adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of production materials.In this function you will:Follows safety policies and procedures in the performance of listed daily functionsMonitors banks of machines, visually checking and gauging parts to ensure machines are running to specifications and free of defectsCompletes paperwork, datalogs, and SPC charts as required to ensure proper dimensions are set on each machineReads process sheets to verify as aspects of assigned operation including blueprint dimensions, required tooling, machine parameters, and control plan informationAbility to troubleshoot machine malfunctions and continually adjust machines, tooling, and wheels to keep parts within allowable tolerancesAssists in maintenance and changeover of machinery and changes worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and grinding wheelsPosition Criteria:Blueprint readingFork truck operationAbility to setup machineryAbility to read process sheets.Visual inspection of cold and hot partsAbility to lift up to 50 LBSRepetitive motion; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.Position requires exposure to graphite lube and heatMust wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel or composite shoes for entire shiftPosition may require daily overtime, 7 days a week and working holidaysPhysical requirements include constantly being on your feet.
