Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation Job Description Position Open: Immediately Posting Closed: Open until filled Title: MFCU Intake Officer Salary Range: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 and commensurate with experience and qualifications Location: Oklahoma City, OK The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Intake Officer for our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Position Summary: The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office is seeking an Intake Officer whose primary responsibilities will be to receive and process reports and complaints of Medicaid provider fraud and/or the abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of individuals in long term care facilities across Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) is a state law enforcement division within the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office, and its mission is to investigate and pursue enforcement actions against health care providers who have defrauded the Medicaid program or who have engaged in abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation of persons in residential health care facilities. The MFCU has both civil and criminal enforcement powers. Typical job functions of this position will typically include, among others: Working with agents, analysts, attorneys, and administrative staff to review, organize, and evaluate incoming written complaints and reports, as well as reports received by telephone; Receiving and memorializing incoming complaints and reports; Gathering complaint/report information through telephonic communication and written correspondence; Communication with witnesses, victims, and other parties, then memorializing findings with written reports; Organizing incoming complaint/report information; Working with administrative personnel to prepare and submit various documentation; Working as part of a larger network of MFCUs nationwide; Presenting outreach materials to various groups and entities; and Other duties as assigned or required. The individual accepting this position must maintain the integrity of the Attorney General's Office, as well as the confidentiality of information and investigations as required by the Oklahoma Attorney General and the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Some in-state travel may be required. Also, out-of-state training opportunities may be available and included. Required Qualifications : Strong command of verbal and written English language, including excellent grammar and spelling Excellent communication skills Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organizational skills The ability to multi-task Bachelor's degree or greater A current and valid Oklahoma driver's license Pass a drug screening test Successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in a second language in addition to English; Experience in a customer service field such as waiting tables, retail sales, bartending, 911 dispatching, call centers or other telephonic work; Skills in verbal de-escalation; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, communication, psychology, or related fields All applicants must agree in writing to complete, and satisfactorily pass, a background investigation. Stevens Amendment Statement: The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit receives 75% percent of its funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under a grant award totaling $4,527,129.64 for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2024. The remaining 25% percent, totaling $1,509,367.95 for FY 2024, is funded by the State of Oklahoma. The federal fiscal year 2024 is defined as October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.
